A web platform where parents report missing children and citizens report vulnerable children they see on the street. Uploaded photos are matched with facial recognition to surface probable matches and likely whereabouts.
The problem
CRY estimates around 180 children go missing across India every day, and many cases are never reported to the police. Sightings and reports rarely meet in one place.
What I built
- Registration and reporting for missing children and their sightings — text, photos and other uploads.
- A "sighted" flow for children who've been seen but not yet identified.
- Probable-match search using the Microsoft Azure Face API.
- Built for parents, citizens and police officials.
Outcome
- BCA final-year project at Al-Ameen Institute of Information Science, 2019.
